About
I make things work — and then automate them.
Hi, I'm Javier. I'm a tinkerer at heart — somewhere at the intersection of hardware, software, and “I wonder if I can make this automatic.”
By day I solve problems with technology. By night (and on weekends) I build electronics, automate my home, write open-source tools, and occasionally disappear underwater with a camera.
This site is a living record of the things I build, break, and eventually figure out. Nothing here is polished marketing — it's just me documenting the journey.
What I'm into
Electronics & Embedded Systems
I design and build custom circuits and firmware — mostly around the ESP32 ecosystem. From addressable LED controllers to environmental sensor arrays, I love making hardware do useful things.
Home & Workflow Automation
My home runs on Home Assistant with a fleet of custom ESPHome devices. Above the home layer, n8n handles cross-service orchestration, API glue, and scheduled jobs.
Software & Tools
I build tools that scratch my own itch — CLI utilities, dashboards, web apps. Mostly TypeScript, Python, and Go. Open source when it makes sense.
AI Agents & OpenClaw
I experiment with AI agents and automation frameworks — especially OpenClaw. I'm building small autonomous systems that can monitor services, summarize information, coordinate tasks, and interact with messaging platforms like WhatsApp and Telegram. This is where I explore how AI can move from chat to real-world automation.
Scuba Diving
Certified diver with a focus on underwater photography. I love hunting for macro subjects in South Florida.
